looks like some fans in tumblr were upset their bias is no longer the most popular in Japan. won’t mention name, but you know who you are.
to my best knowledge of being a fan of Tohoshinki for 4 years, there was no formal ranking of who’s the most popular member of Tohoshinki, not the one i’m…
When Changmin’s name trending in twitter, a lot of Yunho fans were complaining why their bias’s name wasn’t there? They blamed Changmin fans for being selfish and only cared for their bias and soon after that they started trending Yunho, only Yunho.
Yunho fans did the same thing like Changmin fans do, Complaining, if they see their bias is losing or not trending! People are same!! You cannot bash and embarrass one person because she cares more about her bias rather than the other member, as long she supports the current TVXQ is fine!
We cannot like all of them even if that band is only having 2 members, one of them will get a special place. I don’t want to act like OT5 who claim they like all five members though the reality is they care more about their biases or their OTPs! Better be honest rather than lying.
I see a lot of Yunho fans are always giving bad comments about Changmin, how he’s not a good person, saying he’s ruder than Yunho. I haven’t seen anyone is complaining about how defensive Yunho stans are but they complain more about Changmin stans.
Sometimes we get irritated when Yunho fans are commenting bad stuffs about Changmin, spreading negative rumors about Changmin and making Yunho like a good person and Changmin is bad person! The two of them have good and bad traits, they’re humans just like all of us!
Yunho is NOT innocent, he is bloody 27 years old man, he’s very careful in his speech, he knows what to do, his brain is processing 24/7, I admit Yunho is childish and a kind-hearted man who cares about people he close with, same thing with Changmin, both of them are good persons, both of them are not perfects!
you’re getting out of topic here, darling. did you not read what i said? it’s not a contest on who’s better here, i’m talking about some fans feeling overly insecure over their bias’ popularity. this goes to any fans with those mentality, doesn’t matter she’s a Changmin or Yunho’s fan. did i say it’s a sin to have bias? no. as long as you don’t shit on other members and make it as if he is useless and undeserving the attention he’s getting, i’m fine with it. just because you’re annoyed at some Yunho fans doesn’t give you the right to lash it out on the guy. be a bigger person because two wrongs do not necessary makes a right. like the way you and your friend rubs me the wrong way with your comment yesterday, it does not affect the feelings i have towards Changmin at all. in fact i pity him for having fans so insecure towards his popularity when the guy could careless about it.
I know I’m getting “Off Topic” when I type I think of Yunho bias who gets offended by my opinion so rather than creating a new post then why not including everything together in one post!
If I said, “Changmin is more honest than Yunho” is the same thing like saying “Changmin is ruder than Yunho”
I just wanna say everyone is same, when it comes to bias, they will get very defensive, protective and bitchy but you cannot change an extreme stan with your harsh comment, darling, you’re making her “upset” and “annoy” with HoMin fandom, indirectly, you turn her into Yunho hater.
She’s complaining in her blog, and mostly her followers are Changmin stans but you guys are too overreacting with her post, at least she opens on how she feels rather than pretending to be neutral and good.
Changmin probably doesn’t care popularity but fans are fans, they want their bias to be number one, like you and your friends who want TVXQ to be number one, can surpass JYJ and to be accepted in Korea.
your friend’s the one with problem. i don’t even mention her name yet she just exposed herself, like i said not my fault. so what most of her followers are changmin biased, not all is going to agree with her opinion hence why some fans are upset about that. this selfish feeling some fans have in them needs to be minimised in order to create a fun fangirling atmosphere in a fandom already so fucked up like DBSK fandom. Changmin has a movie coming out in Japan later this year if that doesn’t show his popularity in Japan i don’t know what is. so why don’t you guys focus on that great news instead of lamenting about his popularity there whatnot. is it not enough to be supportive and positive towards your idol?
She knows you’re talking about her even though you don’t mention her name and like any normal person she wants to defend her opinion! You’re right, not everyone is agree with her post because half of her followers are not extreme Changmin stans, they are HoMin shippers/stans and Yunho stans who like Changmin as well are following her.
Don’t try to be a saint or knight in shining armor to create fun fangirling atmosphere because you cannot change people and you cannot minimize the selfishness in extreme stans, people are born to be selfish and biased, people who disagree with her are closet Yunho stans who also like Changmin and they get all defensive and bash her.
She needs to think twice before posting her thoughts, so I apologize for her post and mine too… but her “popularity” post cannot be compared with all negative comments Changmin’s received from Yunho stans in twitter, forums and YouTube.
Thanks and bye!
This conversation. orz why so defensive?
I’ve been seeing this in my dash and I can’t help but butt in. Opinions, opinions. AND because of this:
Don’t try to be a saint or knight in shining armor to create fun fangirling atmosphere because you cannot change people and you cannot minimize the selfishness in extreme stans,
I wholeheartedly agree that you can not change people but it doesn’t make it any better if people retaliate. It isn’t easy to create a fun fangirling atmosphere by keeping the positive & throwing away the negative. It ain’t easy but it can be done. Granted there’s a lot of hate on Changmin and comparisons between him and Yunho and the others around the net — instigated by trolls, who want to break the fandom from within or extreme Yunho fans. As a Changmin fan, those are hurtful to read but it doesn’t give me an excuse to jump in throw negativities around. Because it doesn’t help me, nor my bias, nor his fans. However, the moment you post anything negative in social media, from a public profile where your followers and anyone else can see means you are asking for emphathy.
Yunho is more popular than Changmin. That’s a fact. It’s a fact I acknowledge and what my bias, obviously, acknowledge as well. Do I wish for him to be more popular and have as much activities as Yunho? Of course. The same wish that I’d like for Yunho to have a movie in Japan as well. Do I think Changmin is better than Yunho? Hell no.
It is frustrating to be a fan of Changmin cos there’s just so much less of him out there. But what can we do?
Both have charms and personalities so different it’s like the opposite ends of the pole. They can not be compared; at the extreme — they must not be compared. They are on the same team. One’s popularity is good for the other. But then again, since there’s only two of them now, comparisons are inevitable. As they grow more and more popular, alot of those “comparisons” become more evident. It is up to us if we give in to those. I choose not to — to create a fun fangirling environment. Besides, after what these two have been through, they do not deserve a great divide in their own fandom that they cherish more than we can imagine.
Call me pretentious for being “good and neutral”, I don’t care. I’m just being honest. As honest as I was when I said, Changmin’s hair during the Winter Rose PV was horrendous it’s like a bird’s nest (his hair is such a sensitive topic amongst his fans as well); he’s a brat of a prince who loves to troll/torture Yunho but adores him more than anyone else in the world. I bet I’ll be called a closet Yunho-bias after this even if it’s painfully obvious who my bias is ^^
